Free Pens – Where can I get free pens and pencils?

Free pens are made of ink and are used to write notes, papers, articles, letters, and create signatures (a person’s identity marker for special documents that require a person’s consent). To obtain your free writing utensils, you should visit banks, doctors’ offices, and even real estate offices. All three institutions give away pens with the company names on them in order to promote their name in the community. Often, they give pens away to local constituents so as to win other locals via word-of-mouth marketing (each consumer tells another, and so on).

Doctors’ offices always give away pens, particularly specialized doctors offices such as chiropractors, speech therapists, dentists, and medical clinics. Other institutions that give away free writing utensils are funeral homes and counseling services. Funeral homes often place pens on a desk of some sort that can be noticed immediately when you walk through the front door to sign the register by which you note your attendance at a wake or funeral. They may even have pens sitting in a cup of some sort, as a pen holder for the crowd they know will probably take the same pens. Even funeral homes need promotion. There is competition in the funerary services, too—just like everywhere else in everything else!

If you know of someone who works as a marriage counselor, psychologist or psychiatrist, he or she probably gives away pens all the time! Check with these places to get pens if you would like. If you will not run across a real estate office, lawyers’ offices of any kind will work just as well. Whether the lawyer is a local attorney, attorney general, or part of the DA’s office, pens seem to run everywhere around law offices. If you ever need a lawyer, visit his office and be sure to look for free writing utensils.

Fairs, conventions, and conferences also give away pens to consumers. At fairs, there are businesses present to introduce themselves to consumers and see if they can win the consumer interest in their product. Often, they hand out packets and brochures, sometimes carry bags, and these most likely will contain pens. College fairs for high school students are another good place to get pens. If you are a high school senior, you can bet you will end up at a college fair. Colleges like to present their studies and school atmosphere to potential students who look to enroll a few months down the line (right after graduation). Go visit each school representative at their respective table and see what brochures and packets they have to offer. Take whatever freebies they provide.

National conventions, whether over hunting, sports, religious groups, or even occupations will offer free pens and other free products to the attending public and its association members. Conferences pertaining to leadership, men and women, occupations, and teachers are a great place to find free writing utensils. If you attend an opening of a new business, medical center, or retail store, there may be some free sample pens for you to enjoy. Often, when new writing companies emerge, they want consumers to test their products first —they do this with the goal of enticing the consumer to buy, should he or she like the felt-tip pen or the other free samples the company provides.

You can also find free pencils by way of 1) collection programs, 2) corporate organization websites, 3) local vendors, and 4) free teacher program website announcements. Corporate collection programs often send teachers information on how to receive free writing supplies by sending food packages to them, such as Campbell’s soup labels and Boxtops for Education. These programs require parental consent, so teachers will send forms home with your children. Talk to your child’s teacher to see if you could get some of the pens and pencils he or she receives from these programs. If your child’s teacher observes free teacher program announcements on school or organizational websites, talk with them about acquiring some free possessions. If you could help your child’s teacher find these sites, you will be of great service to your child’s teacher—and he or she may actually give you some free writing instruments as a token of his or her appreciation.

Corporate organization sites such as Proctor and Gamble often donate to teachers since teachers are often underpaid and the teaching profession understaffed. Corporate organizations also give away free writing utensils so as to be a present force in school communities. Take advantage of this and inquire about community programs at company sites. If the sites provide no information, feel free to email businesses and ask questions about these programs. Local vendors will often donate free stuff to schools as a tax deduction write-off. If you know of some vendors in your area, talk to them about possible school donations.
